Our Design
Our design starts in Vancouver, where we’re currently based. With each piece, we aim to capture the spirit of the Andes by creating versatile and functional products with a story to tell. Our Andean roots share the same mountain air, rain, and rhythm of life found in Vancouver, making our goods a natural fit for both city streets and wild landscapes of the True North.

Born at 2,500 meters
Each piece is handmade in Ecuador, in the heart of the Andes, alongside our artisan whose craft carries a deep heritage of tradition. We value patience, detail, and authenticity, creating products that keep that spirit alive with a modern, contemporary touch.

Limited series
We create limited series of each product, focusing on quality over quantity. Each piece is made to last, with materials and details that tell their own story. Every collection reflects the strength and beauty of nature and the connection we share with it.
Top and full Grain Leather
We choose top-grain and full-grain cow leather for their natural durability and character. These leathers age beautifully, developing a unique patina that tells the story of each journey. They are strong, breathable, and made to last, unlike corrected or synthetic leathers that wear down over time. Each hide keeps its original texture and small marks, a reminder of its authenticity. For us, it’s not just about quality but about creating pieces that evolve with you and stand the test of time.
Alpaca fibers
We use alpaca fiber because it offers exceptional performance with a natural story. The fiber is lightweight yet highly insulating, trapping warmth even in cold, damp climates while remaining breathable. It is naturally hypoallergenic (no lanolin), moisture-wicking, water- and flame-resistant, and built to last. Each piece made with alpaca connects us to Andean heritage while delivering contemporary comfort and durability.
Workin Leather Group
The Leather Working Group (LWG) is an international organization that sets environmental standards for leather tanneries worldwide. Their certification ensures that tanneries follow responsible practices in water treatment, waste management, and energy use throughout the production process. At Nubandine, we make every effort to source our leather from LWG certified tanneries. We believe that the quality of a product starts long before it reaches your hands. By working with certified suppliers, we make sure that every piece we create is not only built to last but made in a way that respects the environment and the people involved in the process. It is one of the ways we stay true to what Nubandine stands for: honest materials, responsible choices, and products with a real story behind them.
